Safeguard Transnet and ICT’s interests and reputation by protecting the organisation’s computer network from internal and external threats.
Provide security thought leadership on core security questions facing the organisation (i.e. data protection, identity and access management, digital security, data privacy, confidentiality, integrity, device protection, cloud security, availability, etc.) based on leading security practices.Position Outputs
Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to security toolsets and processes.
Lead and assist in the evaluation and, architecture, design, planning, implementation and support of security solutions.
Perform risk analysis relating to strategic technologies initiatives.
Provide guidance and architecture review of proposed security and business functions.
Identify and develop new security architecture standards for strategic initiatives such as cloud adoption, digital transformation, etc.
Serve as an information/cyber security subject matter expert.
Responsible for developing recommending and executing strategic and tactical business and technology roadmaps in conjunction with business partners and strategy teams.
Produce technical reports and presentations on enterprise security approach and solutions.
Stay abreast of current IT and security industry trends, emerging security technologies, and best practices throughout the rail, port and pipeline industries.
Lead and manage the development of Information/Cyber Security Architecture standards and design patterns.
Qualifications and ExperienceJob Requirements:
Honours degree in IT related field
10 years in IT/cyber security
Relevant certification such as CISSP, CCSP.
Architecture related certification such as SABSA or TOGAF
ITIL or COBIT certification. Standard Job Requirements:
