THIS POSITION IS BEING STAFFED FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR. ANTICIPATED START DATE IS AUGUST 13, 2024.
An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
This position will remain open until filled. An initial screening of applicants will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Applicants who apply after that date will only be screened and/or interviewed if a successful candidate is not selected from the applicant pool that applied on or after the screening date.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is one of prevention of crime against the Prince William County School system rather than investigation and apprehension; however, the security assistant will investigate school incidents by talking with students to determine specifics about what happened. This position is responsible for safety and security of an assigned school. This position includes, but not limited to patrolling parking lots, school entryways and hallways, and providing security of the premises to include protection of students, staff and property.

Hiring Range: $30,881 – $48,791/year ($21.90 – $34.60/hour)
