Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Security Guard.
The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.
The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time.
Makes communication checks according to procedure.
Prepare daily activities log.
Observe and monitor security during shift change.
Conduct exterior and interior security checks according to
procedure. Locks and unlocks doors according to policy of Security.
Assist in patient restraint and violent action control.
Conduct investigations of loss reports.
Perform emergency and routine supply runs.
Perform minor maintenance.
Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies and
Procedures and Personnel Employee Handbook.
Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.
Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on
quality improvement teams.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to read, write and have a valid driver’s license. Trade school or on-the-job training relative to security. Peace officer, state police or security training required. Must acquire Hazmat training within 90 days of hire.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
One year Peace Officer, State Police, or Security experience preferred.
