The Security Officer shall protect Baptist Health patients, employees, and properties by patrolling the facility grounds, responding to emergencies, assisting patients, employees and visitors, controlling vehicular and foot traffic, and operating security CCTV. This position may have additional duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience preferred.
Pistol permit required.
Valid Alabama Drivers License and acceptable driving record.
POST certification or DD-214 required.
Annual Firearms qualification with a minimum score of 70% or higher.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated.
Valid Alabama Drivers License
