TheSecurity Control Specialistwill monitor and support security audits partnering with Compliance, Legal and Model Audit Rule (MAR) departments of ICW Group to ensure obligations for NYDFS, CCPA and other state and federal bodies are successful. Additionally, this role includes oversite, organization and editing of documentation, and ensuring key security policies and procedures are reviewed annually and are in line with stakeholders’ processes and obligations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides support for and executes on information security activities.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts policy and procedure documentation creation, review, update, and stakeholder approval according to municipal, state, federal and industry agency requirements.
Develops reports and recommendations for appropriate action on policies related to ICW Information Security and coordinates with the Director of Information Security and the Information Security Team for Executive Leadership meetings, ICW Training and Compliance.
Documents and ensures accuracy of Information Security related processes.
Manages the Information Security Documentation, Audit Evidence, and Information Security Process Library.
Coordinates the publication and dissemination of policies and procedures based on ICW Compliance and Directory of Information Security review of present and pending legislation and manages any support tools utilized, like OneSumX.
Performs tasks to gather policy, processes, or security data to assist Information Security management.
Supports and participates in activities that provide policy and governance for the Cybersecurity Program.
Creates, reviews, and technically assesses all policies and procedures supporting information security that include but are not limited to System Security Plans, Vulnerability Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, and others.
Provides knowledge and support for government regulatory processes and documentation, including Risk Management Approach (RMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.
Serves as information security-related liaison and subject matter expert with internal and external customers.
Supports internal and external assessments/audits of Information Technology, Managed Services, Software as a Service, and all other services.
Manages internal, external and application penetration testing by ICW and any such work performed to ICW by other agencies such as governmental, insurance etc.
Creates and supports daily ICW’s security dashboard.
Tracks all security incidents and ensures reporting and remediations completed.
