Job Summary

AmeriGuard Security Dispatch is responsible for answering phone calls and communicating with guards in accordance with AmeriGuard’s contractual obligations. Dispatcher positions are responsible for providing dispatch coverage for all guarded areas. The Dispatch must be able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The role also involves maintaining records of all incidents that occur at the workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities

The consistent responsibilities of the dispatch include, but are not limited to, the following:

Monitor and review video surveillance equipment.
Enforce policies and procedures.
Respond to Emails and communication between guards and home office.
Maintain records of all incidents that occur at the workplace.
Communicate effectively with other dispatchers/coordinators and drivers
Monitor public traffic.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of dispatch experience.
At least one year of customer service experience.
Valid California Driver’s License with no major incidents within the last five years.
At least two years of experience working with Microsoft Outlook.

Preferred Education and Experience

At least two years of dispatch experience.
At least two years of customer service experience.

Additional Skills/Abilities

Must be able to fluently communicate in English (read, write, and speak).
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must use two-way communications and monitor multiple video screens.
Must manage and direct multiple vehicles while on route.

Must be able to identify and assess information on computer screens, written reports and documentation and relay to team and/or clients.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
May require bending and reaching in areas from floor level to six feet high.
Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination.
Work may be performed in a busy high-traffic environment.

Additional Requirements

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. AmeriGuard will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Fresno before starting work.
Candidates must be willing to work eight-hour shifts although overtime is possible.
Candidates must have open availability (including weekends) and be able to work the day, night, and overnight shifts.
