Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Alarm Installer/Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and field service operations. The technician will also be responsible for detecting issues within security systems and providing solutions to enhance overall security measures. Our home office is located in Lytle, Texas, but 95% of our jobs are located in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
Strong background in residential and commercial security installs
Strong Service experience with security, access control, and CCTV
Preferably some experience in commercial fire alarm systems
Security license required
With some desire to grow into commercial fire alarms
Company truck provided
Min. 5 years in industry
Duties
Install, configure, and maintain various types of security systems including intrusion detection systems (IDS) and access control systems.
Conduct thorough inspections to detect malfunctions or issues within the security system.
Troubleshoot and repair hardware related to security equipment.
Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and wiring configurations.
Provide field service support by communicating with clients to resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing installations or repairs.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations performed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems is required.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read schematics effectively.
Familiarity with hardware components related to alarm systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and efficiently.
Experience in field service roles is a plus, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective communication with clients and the team regarding system issues and solutions.
