Monitor and respond to life safety system – fire panel alarms, CCTV systems, infant abduction systems, access control, etc.;
Maintain knowledge of individual hospital and exterior campus;
Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information;
Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance;
Use radio, phone or computer to send Police Authority Officers to respond to situations;
Coordinate with police, fire department and other emergency response teams to ensure appropriate response is made to emergency situations;
Maintain understanding of police and fire response 911 notifications;
Report unusual active to security staff who may investigate further or take action themselves;
Track inquiries, reports and request via manual or electronic logs.
