Join a renowned global financial and professional services organisation in Dublin as a Security Engineer.
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part indeploying, maintaining, and enhancing the information security infrastructure.Your responsibilities include implementing and managing network security systems, analysing threat intelligence, and ensuring robust security measures in a hybrid cloud environment.
This is anewly created, permanent position working with a global team. The team are happy to consider candidates seeking mostly remote working,with the expectation the successful candidate will attend the office in Dublin 2 when required.
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing security programs and projects
Monitor and analyze security logs for potential threats, investigating and mitigating as necessary
Develop and validate security capabilities, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures
Provide technical expertise during security operations
Track and resolve security issues to completion
Support identity and access management activities, including monitoring and enhancements
Assist with data security policies and technologies such as data loss prevention and privileged access management
Contribute to the design, engineering, and management of security automations
Respond to audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments
Develop and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for vulnerability detection results
Ensure adherence to security measures to safeguard sensitive information and IT equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
At least 4 years experience in a similar cyber security position.
Security certifications: GCIA, GCFA, GCFE, CISSP (Associate), CEH, or similar
Experience in security operations, identity and access management, threat hunting, and endpoint detection and response
Familiarity with open standards such as SAML, OAuth, and Open ID
Proficiency in encryption, logging, and log analytics
Experience with secure network architecture and cloud technologies
Practical knowledge of IAM technologies including AD, Azure AD, and authentication/authorization
Proficiency in SIEM configuration and analysis
Experience with Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) tools
Familiarity with cybersecurity methodologies and tools such as penetration testing and threat hunting
Strong scripting or programming skills (e.g., PowerShell, SQL)
Understanding of Security by Design and Privacy by Design principles
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
