What You’ll DoAs a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the cybersecurity landscape of our client’s organisation. You will be responsible for enacting the firm’s information security strategy, ensuring the safety of all people, assets, systems, and procedures under your control or influence. Your key responsibilities will include user support, process analysis, change management, vulnerability remediation, risk assessments, identity management among others. Your proactive measures will contribute significantly towards maintaining a secure IT environment.

Act in accordance with the firm’s values, using them as guiding principles for all behaviours, attitude, and approach to work and duties.

Listen to users, understand the issue and impact on their work, care for and seek to resolve issues and requests with excellence.

Analyse current and historic tickets, processes, procedures, and system configurations to identify areas of improvement.

Assess and evaluate the impact and risks of proposed changes to security systems.

Coordinate approved changes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies during change implementation.

Conduct thorough screening and testing to identify vulnerabilities.

Implement remediation actions based on findings.

Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve identified vulnerabilities.

What You Bring

The ideal Security Engineer candidate brings a wealth of technical knowledge along with strong interpersonal skills. You are self-motivated, organised, have excellent attention to detail and possess strong evaluation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Your solid knowledge of Active Directory services coupled with extensive experience with Azure cloud services will be crucial in this role. Your practical experience with Vulnerability Management and Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools, along with your knowledge of testing practices and documentation, will be highly valued.

Self-motivated, organised with excellent attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills with clear communication (written and verbal).

Excellent evaluation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory services.

Extensive knowledge of Azure cloud services including Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

Practical experience with Vulnerability Management and Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools.

Knowledge of testing practices and documentation.
