Job Description

POSITION: Security Officer II, Trainer
Hourly Rate: $17.31- $22.50 Grade: NE7 FLSA Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt

Description Summary
The Security Officer II ensures a safe environment for customers and associates, comply with confidentiality regulations regarding security information, assist in the protection of Company. assets, patrons, and associates and provide first aid care to guests and Associates in accordance with the policies and procedures. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to obtain a Catawba Two Kings Casino Gaming license.

Qualifications for Internal Transfer/Promotions:
90 days
Performance based.
Currently not in any infractions and/or under investigations of company policy violations.
Training Certs and QR Completed.

Essential Functions:
Greets customers positively and timely, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner.
Conducts escorts as required.
Demonstrates skill in dealing with customer complaints, using active listening.
Skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the customers good will.
Performs as a team member and assists fellow associates to ensure a smooth operation.
Observes, handles, and reports procedural violations and illegal activity.
Ability to investigate incidents and compose written reports.
Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor.
Maintains crowd control as required.
Defuse customer profanity to ensure a friendly environment.
Role model the Guest Path Universal Service Standards and Operational Standards, interacting positively through relationships with guest and fellow associates displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for peoples needs.
Respond to medical calls and provide first aid care as needed.
Assist in training new hires assigned to shift.
All other duties as assigned.

Non-Essentials Functions:

Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or a minimum of three years of casino Security, military, or police, Law enforcement or related experience a plus
Gaming background a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic Math skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to get a Catawba Two Kings Casino Gaming license.
Ability to work across departmental lines.
Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Certification Requirements:
Valid drivers license required with no more than one (1) DUI convictions or 3 or more moving violations, 3 or more traffic citation convictions in the past 3 years (from date of conviction) or conviction for suspension or conviction for at fault accident within the last 3 years required.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to communicate via two-way radio.
Bending, Stooping, Lifting occasionally.
Vision must be sufficient that the Officer is not restricted in the performance of duties day or night.

Environmental Working Conditions:
Indoors and outdoors.
Occasionally smoky environment.
Occasionally loud environment.
