Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Duties
Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Enforce rules and regulations while providing excellent customer service to all individuals on the premises.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, ensuring that all security measures are in place and functioning correctly.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potential issues effectively.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a security role or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, is beneficial.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for effective surveillance.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
Must possess a valid security certificate or be willing to obtain one upon hiring.
A background in military or law enforcement is an asset but not required.
