Job Scope and Purpose
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Guards to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the Security Manager, the Security Guard ensures the safety and security of the Company’s property, employees, and customers. This role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with others for effective protection and coverage. Maintaining the Company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance is a must.
Responsibilities
Patrol ground, buildings, and other areas of responsibility in all weather conditions.
Be visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner.
Monitors security surveillance footage and keeps an eye on visitors and employees.
Enforce company security policies and legal protocols.
Report adverse situations through appropriate reporting channels.
Respond to distress calls within the premises with urgency.
Handle front desk duties, including greeting and checking in visitors.
Monitor delivery and receiving processes in collaboration with internal teams.
Other duties as assigned by Security Manager or Security Lead.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid California Security Guard Card required.
Proven experience in a relevant security role preferred.
Knowledge of security protocols.
Certification in first aid and CPR preferred.
Proficiency with computers, and aptitude to learn new systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations.
Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by the Department of Cannabis Control.
Must have the ability to complete a LiveScan background check, as required by The City of Cotati.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must have quick physical reflexes to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Must be able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
