JOB SUMMARY:11PM-7AM WORK DAYS VARY As a Security Supervisor, you overseeing all security functions, protecting all assets of the St. Croix Casino Danbury, and provide a safe environment for all guests and co-workers. You will assist the Security Manager in enforcing all policies and procedures and will oversee all Security Staff on shift.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Three (3) years’ guest contact preferred. Must possess or obtain an Alcohol Awareness card. One year of supervisory/management experience preferred. Prefer military, police or casino security experience. A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record as per DOT Program guidelines, and is able to meet our insurance criteria preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to work independently and make sound management decisions. Must be able to handle multiple projects and have the ability to prioritize such projects. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work and stand inside or outside for an eight (8) hour shift or more and sometimes in extreme weather conditions. Must be fair and consistent in administering departmental and company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCITONS: Safeguard Casino guests, co-workers, and assets. Monitor gaming activities for adherence to company policies. Train and schedule Security Staff. Evaluate and recommend promotions, demotions and terminations. Responsible for direct supervision of all Security Department personnel on shift and fairly and consistently administer all policies and procedures while carrying out all objectives and programs. Notify Shift Manager, Security Manager and other management personnel of pertinent activities. Inform on-coming Security Supervisor of all incidents occurring during shift. Review all daily reports describing activities and incidents involving security personnel prior to submission of reports to Security Manager.
Must meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory training and comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
Benefits available for Full-Time (30+ hrs.) after 90 days.
