We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong focus on conflict management, loss prevention, and surveillance to effectively deter criminal activity and respond to emergencies. The Armed Security Officer will utilize their training in law enforcement and first aid to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to identify suspicious behavior or potential threats.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations and ensure compliance with security protocols.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences for reporting purposes.
Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
Provide first aid and CPR as needed during emergencies, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on-site.
Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Experience
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in conflict management or loss prevention is a plus.
Familiarity with surveillance equipment (CCTV) and monitoring systems is advantageous.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, and law enforcement personnel.
