POSITION OBJECTIVE:
A security guard consistently monitors to keep the campus safe. An experienced security guard is a detailed and friendly person, who will build strong professional relationships with staff, students and community.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
Inspect and patrol premises regularly
Monitor property entrance
Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
Secure all exits, doors and windows
Monitor surveillance cameras
Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
Provide assistance to people in need
Submit reports of every suspicious action
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
High School Diploma
Possession of a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
Security guard license and/or law enforcement experience preferred
Demonstrated commitment to young people’s learning success and achievement, a must!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
