Position Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for the overall security of guests, employees, volunteers and facility assets.

Key Accountabilities:

Welcomes guests Protects guests, employees, volunteers and facility assets in assigned area Enforces all house policies and AGLC Terms and Conditions Enforces restriction of minors, liquor provisions and service Manages crowd control Provides assistance gaming employees in monitoring suspicious activities Records activities in Security Log; writes discrepancy reports Reports all incidences to the Security/Surveillance Manager Responds and resolves issues and escalates as required Manages other initiatives or duties as required

Education

and Qualification Requirements Grade 10

education

or suitable combination of

education

and experience Excellent

communication skills

both written and verbal Computer literacy in MS Office Minimum 1 years of security experience preferred: ASIP an asset;

First Aid level 1 or 2 Experience in casino gaming disciplines, CCTV equipment and monitoring systems preferred; hotel security experience First Nations experience an asset Other languages an asset Criminal Record Clearance mandatory

Work Environment
