Canaves, Luxury Resorts Santorini, one of the best hotels in the world, is seeking a reliable and experienced Security Guard to join the team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees while upholding the high standards of the company. Canaves owns and manages four luxury properties, each offering a unique experience to guests. The properties are located in the beautiful and cosmopolitan village of Oia, in the northern part of Santorini Island, Greece, and are proud members of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Canaves Gastronomy, an ongoing project, offers world-class dining experiences at each of the properties’ fine dining restaurants, Elements and Petra, and at Infinity Modern Greek Bistro and Aperitivo Bar.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol the properties and grounds to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees
Report any suspicious activity to management and local law enforcement as necessary
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while greeting and assisting guests entering and exiting the properties
Conduct routine checks of all areas to ensure that all doors and windows are properly locked and secured, and that no unauthorized persons are present
Assist with emergency situations such as medical situations, fire evacuations, and severe weather conditions
Respond immediately to any alarms or calls for assistance
Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of all activities during the shift
Requirements
Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong observation and surveillance skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures
Ability to manage and diffuse potentially difficult or dangerous situations and take appropriate actions as necessary
