Steel Security is seeking a Full-Time Armed Security Officer for the 11:00 pm to 7:00 am shift. Must be able to pass a background check due to the sensitive nature of the software, equipment, and clients.
You will play an integral role in creating peace of mind for Steel Clients by protecting company assets, minimizing risk, and ensuring overall safety & security.
This is not a typical “security guard” position sitting at a static post having limited interaction with others; instead, it is an interactive position in an environment that values our security team. Prior law enforcement or security experience is required . We will train you to provide and maintain a safe working environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors, how to actively patrol and respond to potential security threats against the client(s), and how to act in emergency situations as a team or on your own.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
You will work alone on occasion and also partner with coworkers to alleviate a potential threat, which includes taking inbound calls, reviewing surveillance footage, identifying any immediate dangers, and communicating with local law enforcement and emergency services if required.
You will be an effective communicator, both oral and written, to ensure information is conveyed appropriately and quickly during an emergency.
You will maintain documentation and provide consistent, well-written reports of incidents, which may include observations, information, occurrences, activities, and interviewing witnesses.
You will help customers/clients to access highly sensitive areas requiring bio-metric scans and AMAG key-card access. You will also conduct door checks both during business hours and after-hours to ensure doors are secure and record the checks within Silvertrac.
You will conduct foot patrols inside the facility and vehicle patrols in a marked Police Interceptor while outside the facility.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a high school diploma and 3+ years of experience in a security function and/or completion of Security Training/Certification (Armed CLEET Card).

Inside Office – Up to 40 lbs
Outside Office – Walking with no limitations

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required):
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Demonstrate a stable work history.
Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Valid driver’s license.
Must have a current Armed Oklahoma CLEET License.
Ability to walk long distances if needed.
Have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
May include lifting and moving up to 40 pounds.
Has the ability to use a computer and have CCTV camera and access control
