Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our member’s, guests and employees. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent incidents and ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
Duties
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activities.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid when necessary.
Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks.
Collaborate with law enforcement when required during incidents or investigations.
Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict resolution techniques to de-escalate situations.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
Experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is a plus.
Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention strategies.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
Must pass background checks as required by company policies.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.75 – $13.50 per hour
