Job Overview:
Performs the duties of Security Officer to maintain the safety and security of the hospital.
General Responsibilities:
Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.
Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Communicationand interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
DemonstratesService Excellenceat all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High schooleducationor GED equivalent.
Must be able to handle stressful situations.
Must have 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
BLS within 90 days of hire.
CPI within 90 days of hire.
Class D Security License required.
