Job Overview
The Overnight Security Guard/Shuttle Driver is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises during overnight hours, as well as providing shuttle services for employees or guests. This dual role requires a vigilant and reliable individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
Security Duties:
Monitor and patrol the premises to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
Conduct regular security checks of buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Maintain a detailed log of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.
Enforce facility rules and regulations, addressing any violations appropriately.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Assist in the investigation of incidents and prepare reports as required.
Shuttle Driver Duties:
Operate the shuttle vehicle safely and efficiently to transport employees and guests to designated locations.
Ensure the shuttle is clean, well-maintained, and fueled for use.
Adhere to established routes and schedules while accommodating special requests as needed.
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with all passengers, providing assistance when required.
Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is a plus.
Previous experience in security or as a shuttle driver preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Must be physically capable of performing patrols and standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions
The position requires working overnight shifts, which may include weekends and holidays.
Must be able to remain alert and vigilant during shifts.
May involve outdoor patrolling in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $16.01 per hour
