Security Guard Flex Jobs in Fremont, CA at Allied Universal®
ParaMil is seeking a professional for the role of Security Officer/Operator for services in the Suffolk County area. The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for preforming a full range of armed security patrol duties. This integral role will ensure that individuals requesting access to the secured location have the proper identification and credentials for entry, as well as ensure the safety needs of the client are met.
Candidates must have experience in security with a clear understanding of security/ law enforcement officer procedures, with the ability to perform independently. Candidates must have prior military, and/or law enforcement experience.
Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all-inclusive)
Responds to alerts and conduct random checks of the area.
Maintains records and prepare reports of the activities throughout the duration of their shift.
Transmits messages to ancillary officers/operators on patrol.
Detects threats to restricted areas, and divert potential violators.
Participate in training exercises to increase proficiency, sharpen skills, and ensure security knowledge is current.
Issues temporary passes to visitors.

Our company requires all team members to pass quarterly physical fitness tests as well as maintain proficiency in our mandatory close quarter combat training & hand to hand combatives course.
Qualifications
Desired Essential Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience as armed security
Knowledge of the rights of detained individuals and rules regarding appropriate use of force.
Knowledge of tactics and procedures necessary for the preparation and response to catastrophic events, engagements, and other related threats.
Knowledge of methods and procedures used to enforce specialized access controls to prevent unauthorized access.
Must pass the initial preemployment medical exam.
Must pass a preemployment physical fitness test.
Must be willing to obtain initial and annual firearms qualification to carry weapons required for armed security.
Must be able to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
