Security Guard (Full-time, Third Shift)
Primary Function
Responsible for the day to day security of the Sauder Village Complex, assuring the safety of guests and staff.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities): include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provide exceptional guest experiences.
2. Communicate effectively with guests, team leader, management and coworkers of all areas in Sauder Village.
3. Keep the safety of guests, staff, and self a priority.
4. Make routine rounds during a shift turning off lights, locking gates/doors, checking smoke detectors, temperatures, freezers, coolers, air pressure/water gauges, sewage pump/water flow alarms to ensure that all areas of Sauder Village are secure at all times.
5. Patrol campground when open to assure that all guest are following parking rules and that extra vehicles are parked in the appropriate parking area; ensure that only people fishing in Little Lake Erie are lodging guests.
6. Monitor the Pool Area closely, making sure all children 15 and under are wearing swim bracelets
7. Re-stock pool towels and run towels through laundry as needed.
8. Clean the tree area and help keep other public areas picked up and garbage emptied when time permits.
9. Assist with tearing down banquet chairs & tables when time permits.
10. Haul clean laundry from Inn to all laundry facilities bring dirty laundry back.
11. Perform minor plumbing and maintenance duties as directed.
12. Report all incidents that occur to the Security Guard Supervisor, GM of Lodging, Director of Facilities & anyone else who items pertain to.
13. Protect all confidential information.
14. Maintain peace and order with guests and staff as well.
15. Make sure that liquor laws are being followed an upheld.
16. Ensure for the security of all buildings and equipment.
17. Assist where needed in the Sauder Village Complex performing additional and/or duties as directed.
18. Must have Valid Drivers license.

8. May involve working in an environment that uses chemicals for cleaning purposes, sanitizing, insect spraying, etc.
9. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
10. Must follow the appearance and attire guidelines for security guards.
3rd shift – Weekend availability
