Job Description
Security Officer Needed at Jefferson Hospital
Part Time – $16.00 / Hour
3:00PM-11:00PM or 11:00PM-7:00AM – Up to 24 hours per week
Frequent Walking/Standing Required (Indoor/Outdoor);
Moderate Technological Usage Required
Important Information Regarding This Position
Assist nursing staff with patient restraints (training provided)
Escort nursing staff to hospital morgue with deceased patients
Multiple vaccinations required prior to working on site (company paid), including TB, MMR, Varicella, Tetanus
Child Abuse Clearance required at orientation

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high-profile healthcare customer. Responsibilities include surveillance, incident reporting, and providing customer service professionally.
Responsibilities
Monitor for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity
Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for safety and security issues
De-escalate situations verbally and physically as needed
Inspect security devices and fire equipment
Screen visitors and staff for entry
Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively
May include patient escort, patient watch, and transporting deceased
Minimum Requirements
Experience in customer service, troubleshooting, or managing stressful situations
At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
High school diploma or 5 years of verifiable experience
Background check and drug screening required
State/local licensing requirements may apply
Valid driver’s license for driving roles
Post-offer training and certification in Management of Aggressive Behavior required
