As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position.
Other duties may be assigned

SRO’s will be assigned to train at 3 locations extending across the Greater Richmond area.
Shifts of 8 – 12 hours
Must be able to accept last-minute assignments due to call-offs or No Call No Shows
Handle calls for service; intake of media and emergency calls
Complete daily reporting; incident Report input and approval
Notification elevation, upon approval; mass notification/Everbridge
Conduct travel security reviews
Red Tag/Hot Works reporting
Ensure timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the Security Operations Center and its role as a central alarm monitoring station
Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems
Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
Coordinate with Security Operations Center staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.)

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
Must pass a skills-based assessment called “Criticall”, which is administered after successful completion of the interview process.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
Work experience must include of the following:

Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)

Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Communications, or related field
Verifiable and successful security experience
Professional training and/or education in one or more of the following:
Customer service
Dispatch operations
Security and/or emergency services
Documented experience and competency in the following Security Software Systems:
Access Control/ID systems (e.g., ProWatch)
Alarm Receiving Automation software (e.g., Onyx Works)
Incident Management and computer assisted dispatch software
CCTV/Video Management systems (e.g., MaxPro)
Mass Notification systems (specifically, Everbridge)
Business Intelligence and Travel Tracking (e.g., iJet and NC4)
Experience in a modern 911 Call Center, Central Station Alarm Monitoring, or Dispatch Operation, Technical Security Control Room, or similar environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
Environment: Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected
Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting
Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
