About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Specialist to work fully remotely, managing project scopes, troubleshooting systems, and coordinating on-site installations through collaboration with field engineers.

Although this role is 100% remote, you must be located in Southwest Florida (Tampa to Fort Myers) to allow for occasional in-person training and collaboration with leadership based locally.
Your role will focus around remote system design, project management, and troubleshooting — helping ensure installations are correctly scoped and delivered with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Remotely scope and design access control, IP video, and intrusion system projects in collaboration with on-site engineers.
Familiar with vendor catalogs for partners like ADI and Assa Abloy
Assist in selecting the correct door hardware (electric strikes, maglocks, REX devices, DPS sensors, etc.) based on site conditions and project requirements.
Guide cabling design and installation practices, ensuring correct materials and methods are used.
Provide remote troubleshooting and system diagnostics for security hardware and networking issues.
Program and remotely configure access control panels, IP cameras, intrusion panels, and IoT security devices.
Conduct technical scoping and customer meetings to gather project requirements and provide expert recommendations.
Work closely with leadership and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Maintain detailed and organized documentation of troubleshooting steps, configurations, and scopes of work.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience servicing and programming commercial access control, IP video, and intrusion alarm systems.
Strong experience diagnosing cabling, device, and network-related issues remotely.
Proficient understanding of low voltage cabling, PoE networked devices, and basic networking (IP address management, switch basics).
Deep understanding of door hardware applications and ability to properly match security hardware to mechanical needs.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks remotely, and prioritize effectively.
Strong communication skills for working with customers and remote team members.
Bonus points for certifications in one or more platforms such as Genetec, Lenel, Openpath, Axis, Verkada, Rhombus, Milestone.
Previous experience as a Network Support Specialist, Security Systems Engineer, or similar role is highly valued.
Education and Certifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Technical School, Military electronics training, or relevant industry certifications preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
