SECURITY GUARD – PM SHIFT Jobs in Plainwell, MI at JBS USA
Established in 2022, LA Semiconductor is the newest US Owned and Operated, Fully Operational, Pure-Play Semiconductor Foundry for Analog, Mixed Signal, and Power Product. LA Semiconductor is looking for a Security Supervisor to oversee facility security to protect all company assets. The Security Supervisor may also manage and or implement security protocols related to the storage of confidential information and documents.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff including security guards and desk clerks.
Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics.
Provides specialized security for and monitors access to limited and restricted access areas such as inventory areas, network equipment areas, and employee files, and confidential records.
Aids Security Manager for upcoming projects, and keeps records of all security training, and safety requirements.
Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures
Excellent management and supervisory skills
Excellent knowledge on report writing, access control systems, and camera review
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
Ability to work with and aid Emergency Response Teams
Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Five years of related security experience required.
Previous management experience a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
Ability to traverse various areas of the facility to conduct inspections and plan security procedures
