Unarmed Security Officer – Full-Time/Part-Time – Grand Rapids, Michigan
Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Unarmed Security Officers to join our team on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role primarily involves providing security for private buildings and structures. This is a ROVING position; you will use your personal vehicle for work. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in security, law enforcement, or military service, and will be responsible for maintaining security for private entities.
Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents promptly and effectively.
Write detailed and accurate incident reports and daily logs.
Enforce company policies and regulations to maintain a secure environment.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Operate and maintain security equipment and firearms in accordance with company guidelines and legal requirements.
Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and visitors.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred. Proven experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements: Ability to handle a physical workload, stand for extended periods, patrol assigned areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Licensing and Equipment: Valid Drivers License.
Background Requirements: Must have no criminal history and be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Weather Adaptability: Ability to work outdoors and endure inclement weather conditions.
Skills: Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable Vehicle: Due to the nature of this position, a reliable vehicle for daily use on the job is required.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $16-$18per hour.
Schedule:
3-7 night shifts a week – (Saturday night mandatory) 9:00PM – 5:30AM
