Job Summary: T&T Security Services is seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Guard Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. The Security Guard Supervisor will oversee the security operations, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our clients’ premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to upholding security protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate security staff, ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures.
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or other security breaches.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to security incidents or emergencies promptly.
Enforce security policies and procedures, including access control measures and visitor screening protocols.
Respond to alarms, disturbances, or other security-related incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
Provide guidance and support to security guards, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during shifts.
Complete accurate and detailed reports documenting security activities, incidents, and observations.
Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns and maintain a safe environment.
Maintain proficiency in security techniques, equipment operation, and emergency response procedures through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in security roles, with supervisory experience preferred.
Valid security guard license or certification as required by state or local regulations.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide security staff effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and colleagues.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform patrols, respond to emergencies, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, making sound decisions in stressful situations.
Customer service orientation with a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing security operations.
