Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm System Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of security alarm systems for both residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with alarm systems, fire systems, access-control system, camera systems, wiring, and customer service, and possess a strong understanding of safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Install alarm systems, including wiring and setting up control panels, sensors, and monitoring devices.
Configure system settings to ensure proper functionality and customer requirements.
Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement of equipment.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform regular maintenance on alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in alarm systems, including wiring, sensors, and control panels.
Replace or repair faulty components as needed.
Provide technical support for alarm system malfunctions.
Customer Support:
Educate customers on alarm system operation and safety protocols.
Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and efficient manner.
Offer recommendations for upgrades or modifications to improve system performance.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all service calls, installations, and repairs.
Provide detailed reports to supervisors regarding job progress and outcomes.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all installations and repairs meet local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Keep current with industry trends, regulations, and new technologies related to alarm systems.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Alarm System Technician or in a related field.
Experience with alarm system components such as control panels, sensors, cameras, and wiring is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
Familiarity with various alarm systems and monitoring devices.

Pay: $20.00 – $33.23 per hour
