Integrated Security Solutions, Inc is seeking an experienced security installation technician for Bavaria, Germany.

The Security Technician I-III installs, programs, maintains, and repairs security alarm wiring and equipment and ensures work is in accordance with relevant codes for Integrated Security Solutions, INC.. This position is for Bavaria Germany.

Essential Duties

· Receives wiring diagrams and piping layouts, instrumentation drawings, specifications and instructions concerning repair, installation, and inspection work to be performed. Applies knowledge of electronic and instrumentation principles to determine equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

· Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, metal doors, concrete and other areas as required. Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.

· Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, then position (strapping), terminate, solder connectors, cables, and wires.

· Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures have been met.

· Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.

· Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical and telephone wiring to connect components.

· Mount raceways and conduits, and fasten wires to wood framing, and concrete walls, using specified materials.

· Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.

· Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions.

· Keep informed of new products and developments. Request orders for replacement parts. Maintain inventory, and report inventory weekly.

· Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.

· Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, and basic network related problems encountered by end-users of the network. Has a basic understanding of IPV4 and how to assign a computer an IP address.

· Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electronic instrument theory and principles, pneumatic and piping systems, wiring specifications, local and national electrical codes, and properties of various materials.

· Plans details of working procedure and determines a logical approach to repair problems.

· Services instrument and electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuit modules, printed circuit boards, and similar devices.

· Performs all types of instruments and electronic maintenance, making operating adjustments as required.

· Designs and constructs adaptations of component parts or standard parts as required.

· Fabricates parts as required using machine and hand tools common to the trade.

· Informs supervisor and line mechanics of potentially dangerous electrical equipment observed, or faulty instrumentation and corrective actions taken.

· Maintains company required performance and maintenance records for instrumentation and electronic equipment.

Required Skills

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

· Must be confident utilizing Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and database programs.

· Must be proficient in the use of electronic communication equipment such as a personal computer, scanner, multi-line phone and printers.

· This position requires periodic drug testing, a valid driver’s license, background check and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

· Communicates effectively in both oral and written communication.

Education and Experience

· Required – High school diploma or equivalent.

· At least five years’ experience with electronic, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic industrial instrumentation.

· Must have current First Aid/CPR, 30 Hour OSHA Construction Course, 10 Hour OSHA annual refresher (or equivalent), Blood Borne Pathogen training and certificates.

· Preferred – Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent in English, technical communication, professional writing, or working towards a degree is related field.
