What You’ll Do
At Convergint, our people are our greatest asset. With comprehensive training and your expertise, you’ll:
Install, program, test, repair, and service various systems, including security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation equipment, with guidance as needed.
Collaborate with customers and colleagues to provide expert technical support and training, escalating complex challenges to experienced team members when necessary.
Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment using your knowledge of electronics, standard test instruments, and hand tools.
Support project leads by providing critical installation assistance and suggesting improvements to enhance quality and profitability.
Contribute to our colleague-first culture by participating in our Recruit Awesome People program, helping us grow by referring top talent to our Talent Acquisition Team.
Perform additional duties as needed to support our mission of excellence.
What You’ll Bring
Basic construction knowledge and the ability to interpret system plans.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and design drawings, including wiring, labelling, and installation methods (e.g., J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
Practical mechanical and electrical skills, with experience using drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers, hacksaws, and crimpers.
Strong foundational math skills and the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
