Security Lieutenant – St. Cloud Hospital Jobs in Saint Cloud, FL at Orlando Health
Inter-Con is searching for aspiring individuals to join our thriving team of Security Officers securing the hospital. You’ll work as a member of a close team to form the backbone of the broad security services Inter-Con provides its valued clients every day. As hospitals are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we are seeking officers with open availability for Day, Swing or Overnight availability. You will be scheduled for 5 days a week.
Must have CA Guard Card
Must have proof of Education (HS Diploma or GED)
Must have authorization to work in the U.S
2+ years security experience preferred
Must be comfortable with a hands-on position (physically restraining individuals, assisting with takedowns and dealing with combative patients)
Must be comfortable with undergoing a physical examination
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work weekends

Responsibilities:
Provide surveillance of buildings, parking lots, and grounds, logging security rounds in daily logs
Not leave their assigned post (location) unless physically relieved by another Security Officer
Be called upon to assist with special projects (Covid testing sites, protests, etc.). Support and manage parking applications and fee collections at the hospital.
Accompany staff to their personal vehicle upon request
Assist staff and physicians with argumentative, belligerent and combative individuals, especially where there is imminent danger to staff, physicians, patients and/or visitors
If circumstances dictate, when a staff member, patient, or visitor’s safety is in jeopardy – physically restrain individuals as a last resort, when all other means of de-escalating a situation have been exhausted. Such actions may occur without the authorization of a clinician. A minimum amount of force shall be used in all situations, and only if necessary, to safely bring a situation under control. The Security Officer may request assistance from other Security Officers, when appropriate
Provide support with restraints at the direction of professional medical or nursing staff per CLIENT guidelines.
Will engage “hands on” in behavioral health interventions with 5150 patients.
Must be able to lift 50-60lbs
