Security Manager
This full-time position reports to the Director of Operations and is located at the Operations Center, 8600 NE 117th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98662.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO:
Serve as a security subject matter expert collaborating with security stakeholders in different Clark Public Utilities departments including Operations, Communications, Information Services and Employee Resources.
Provide project management to implement security improvements identified in program assessments.
Provide program management to continually improve security operations across physical, cyber, intelligence, information sharing, plans, procedures, and training.
Provide security briefings and trainings to employees and executives.
Provide leadership and direction to contract physical security guards.
Lead a security working group to share information and best practices and integrate security efforts across divisions.
Responsible for developing and conducting security related training initiatives across the organization.
Lead and manage an annual risk assessment process and develop security goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Public Administration, Cybersecurity, or other related field, or experience and education which provide an equivalent level of proficiency. 10 years’ experience in law enforcement, corporate security or related field. Broad exposure to security disciplines; physical security/access controls, risk management, threat intelligence, executive protection, cybersecurity, crisis management and/or investigations. Ability to communicate complex issues effectively, both verbally and in writing.

SALARY:
Clark Public Utilities’ salary ranges are market based and established annually. With full competency in the role and satisfactory performance the target is midpoint within the established range.
