Position Outputs
Implementation of security and asset protection strategies, policies, standards, and procedures that regulate safe and stable Corridor operations.
Ensure compliance with all audit requirements, quality, and risk management frameworks, standards, and procedures within the Corridor.
Understand and translate the strategic direction of the Corridor.
Understand the competitive drivers of the strategy.
Understand and translate strategic initiatives for the function/Corridor.
Oversight on security initiatives within the Corridor.
Review financial reports to ensure efficiency and quality of security operations.
Implement sound business continuity and stability programs to reduce crimes such as theft, vandalism, and threats to employee security.
Identify, analyze, forecast, and report potential risks and security threats to company assets, employees, and customers, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Drive the execution of all security projects within the Corridor.
Collaborate with government institutions and law enforcement agencies to coordinate security efforts.
Plan and manage crime prevention operations to reduce incidents within the Corridor.
Prepare, provide, and manage operational area budgets and control expenditures.
Implement and monitor continuous improvement principles.
Manage asset utilization and resource deployment effectively within the operational area.
Drive performance and focus on performance enhancement.
Monitor, evaluate, and gather feedback to measure productivity and performance.
Set clear targets and objectives for security teams.
Oversee and manage security contracts and SLAs with third-party providers, ensuring compliance and proper governance.
Establish security information networks and surveillance systems to prevent theft, vandalism, and criminal activities.
Resource an appropriate security structure capable of responding to security challenges.
Identify training needs and ensure timely training of security personnel.
Conduct security risk assessments and implement recommendations to minimize risks.
Manage security incident data, compile statistics, and analyze trends to inform security operations.
Coordinate with internal divisions and external agencies like SAPS, Metro Police, and CPF for joint operations against security threats.
Qualifications and Experience
National Diploma in Security, Policing, Investigations, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in security operations, or
Minimum of 6 years’ experience with PSIRA Grade A registration.
