Job Summary:

The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security programs, ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets within Retail operations. This includes overseeing security personnel, establishing training programs, and enforcing security protocols to prevent or mitigate business interruptions and loss. The role also involves ensuring the protection of financial assets, sensitive information, and the continued satisfaction and safety of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee the implementation of security programs to safeguard company assets, personnel, and customers.

Design and deliver training programs for security staff to ensure effective security practices and compliance with established protocols.

Establish and enforce security regulations and procedures aimed at minimizing risks to people, property, inventory, financial assets, and confidential information.

Monitor security operations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and improve security measures.

Work closely with law enforcement and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements.

Manage and supervise security personnel, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to company standards.

Respond to security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to manage and resolve issues swiftly.

Collaborate with store management and other departments to maintain a safe and secure environment for both customers and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Security Management, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and safety regulations, particularly within a retail environment.

Proven experience in managing and training security teams.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
