Job Summary:
Develops and manage security programs, training, and security personnel management. Establishes and maintains security regulations and procedures to prevent and/or reduce business interruptions relating to people, property and possessions, money and negotiable instruments, information and continued patronage of customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, organizes and manages security policies, programs and initiatives.
Develops and implements standard operating procedures.
Establishes customized security and emergency plans.
Supervises security team (e.g. guards, CCTV and K9 units); conducts physical security planning, risk assessment and analysis.
Designates Mall Emergency Team Leader / Fire Brigade Marshal with primary functions and develops emergency operating procedures and processes.
Conducts trainings and simulations to reinforce implementation of security and emergency plans.
Appoints Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Investigating Officer with primary objectives of providing assistance to the ESH Manager of the Mall and in the implementation of safety related initiatives to ensure a healthy workplace environment and during audits and validation process by the Lopez Group ESH Team.
Assigns a Duty Officer with a mandate to supervise security, mall facilities housekeeping, car park operations, events, tenancy relations and other administrative matters.
Performs other duties and functions as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, or related field (preferred).
With at least 5-10 years experience in managing a security program. Exposure in retail/shopping mall security operation.
Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire security teams.
Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in security management software and tools.
Certification in security management (e.g., Certified Protection Professional, Loss Prevention Certified) is advantageous.
