Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The job will:
Open and Close our buildings throughout the campus on a rotating weekend schedule
Monitor the campus throughout the day
Provide assistance to staff and visitors as needed
Respond to incidents
Education, Skills and Experience – Required
A summary of the experiences and skills required for the position:
Experience as security guard or similar role. Ability to clearly communicate both written and verbally and to follow oral and written instruction is required. First Aid / BLS training is helpful. Incumbent must possess a current Michigan Driver’s License and be able to work alone or with others.

Work Environment
Environment is a non-conventional and ever-changing workenvironment, ranging from outdoors to conventional indoor setting at Gilmore Car Museum. The following examples are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to safely operate equipment such as golf carts.
Physical Demands
The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance (such as on ladders), and to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must be able to occasionally lift 5Olbs. Be able to work in all different climate (extreme heat to extreme cold, and weather such as rain or snow).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position rotating weekends approximately 7:30AM – 7:00PM. Other hours and duties may be changed or assigned based on show events and by the direct supervisor.

Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time due to changing priorities of the museum or other factors.

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
