Job SummaryThe Security Officer’s position at Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village is responsible for safeguarding clients, visitors and staff as well as the security of assets and the premises.
Responsibilities
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitor surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons, to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Completes reports of daily activities by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Investigate and report signs of damage or unlawful entry as it occurs.
Perform spot checks and searches to guard against theft.
Ensure operation of equipment, like CCTV and nurse call system.
Answer telephone calls and relay messages.
Answer nurse call and alarms, investigate.
Liaise with Police Department and/or CPD in cases of emergency.
Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Attend training.
Requirements
A good standard of education
Possession of a valid security licence
Computer Literate
Fluency in English Language
Be smart in appearance and of a strong character
Able to work on his/her own initiative
Has a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position
Available to work on shift basis, including evenings– Monday to Sunday
