Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Is recruiting a Security Officer to join our Safety and Security department.

About the Department: Safety and Security strives to reduce the risk of hazardous exposure to employees, patients, residents, clients, visitors, and others in the delivery or receipt of health care services; to promote and establish the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program management principles; to develop and provide safety management training for the environment of care; to coordinate services for our injured employees’ healthcare needs and facilitate their return to work.
A typical day will include: Observes, investigates, and reports incidents; checks doors at all facilities which should be secure; observes maintenance alarms, reporting alarms to maintenance personnel present or on-call; constantly checks inside and outside property for safety hazards, reporting to the Director of Safety and Security or Security Supervisor for appropriate action; actively and consistently contributes to Security Department operations and communications.
Patrols inside and outside buildings to ensure that no one is loitering.
Conducts, documents, and evaluates life safety drills as requested and scheduled by the Director of Security, Security Supervisor, and Risk Management Coordinator.
Maintains an Activity Log, Daily Reports, Security Incident Reports, Lost and Found Reports, and other documentation as required.
The position is: PRN
Job Requirements:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required unless extensive successful experience is demonstrated
License & Certifications: Current Missouri Driver’s license required
Experience: Minimum age of 21 years required; 3 – 5 years of experience of law enforcement or security preferred.
Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
