We have an exciting opportunity within our Operations department who are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Security officers.

About the role:You will join on a Full time, permanent basis (44 hours per week).

The Wellington College security department operates daily by conducting three security shift patterns to facilitate 24/7 security services throughout the College estate and Eagle House School. The overriding purpose of the role is to ensure that pupils, staff and visitors are safeguarded within a comprehensive security service that enables teaching, learning, living and recreation to take place in a safe and secure environment.

Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):

Security Officers are responsible for operating all the required security tasks and functions in accordance with Assignment Instructions

Act as fire ‘first responders’ for all fire activations

Security staff are required to conduct direct patrolling within the College estate and attend incidents

Undertake internal and external patrolling on foot, vehicle or patrol bikes.

Person Specification

The successful incumbent must have

A British Security Industry (SIA) Authority qualification

Knowledge of the private security sector is required with personal experience in operating surveillance camera systems and other computer-based access control systems.

Full UK Driving licence required

Reasonable physical fitness
