Great opportunity to work as aSecurity Officerfor G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat.
G4S is recruiting for a Security Officer to work inAbingdon.The rate of pay is£14.50per hour.
This is afull-timerole, working 42 hours per week, on a 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off shift pattern.

7am to 7pm
7pm to 7am

Your Time at Work
As a Security Officer at G4S, your duties will include:
Maintaining a secure environment.
Monitor and respond to security systems, including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and fire alarm systems.
Evaluate incidents that may impact client employees or offices and escalate accordingly to security management and subsequently to other business units.
Work with a team of security professionals to identify and report potential threats and manage responses to incidents.
Respond to alarms and incidents and provide timely and accurate reporting to the senior security team.
Conduct regular rounds of the facility to ensure that all areas are secure and free from potential hazards.
Maintain accurate records of all incidents, including detailed reports and documentation.
Provide support to the Facilities team during emergencies, including medical emergencies, fires, and natural disasters.
Able to manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company confidentiality.
Manage the access control system.
Provide excellent customer service to all facility occupants and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge is also key.
It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however it’s not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.
Please note, you must have a full clean UK driving licence and your own transport**
