Dedicated Officer (3rd Shift – Full-Time)
Signal Security of Myrtle Beach is currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant full-time officer to join our security team for the overnight shift. Position: Dedicated Officer (3rd Shift – Full-Time)
Location: Myrtle Beach Resort
Shifts: 9 PM – 5 AM, Two Days a Week
Compensation: $16/hour (with SLED Certification & Experience), $15/hour (without SLED)
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
Advise violators of policy and procedures, and detain or evict violators from premises.
Successfully complete cross-training for other posts within the company to be eligible for promotion and career development.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous security experience preferred.
SLED certification preferred (higher pay rate applies with certification).
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work the designated shift pattern (9 PM – 5 AM, Five Days a Week).
Eligibility to work in South Carolina.
Position Summary:
A Signal Dedicated Officer will conduct static security services for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety.
