Job Purpose: Responsible for maintaining order and security of patrons and employees, funds, the facility, and properties; day shift supervisor reports key activities, issues and incidents from swing and grave supervisors to the Director or Deputy Director of Security.

Physical Requirements:

Walking, or standing for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing and visual acuity.
Frequent lifting (up to 30 lbs)

Working Conditions

Typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications.

Exposure to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members

Essential Functions:

Spends majority of shift on the casino floor, and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
Communicate effectively, in both verbal and written form, with customers, other security supervisors and the Director, as well as all levels of employees.
Read, comprehend, and write legible reports.
Effectively and efficiently move around all work areas.
Observe and direct actions of subordinates
Responsible for escorting money transfers to and from the vault, offices and the gaming machines on the floor and maintain security level to safeguard assets.
Monitor and patrol the parking lot of the gaming facility.
Identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations.
Provides assistance to civil and law enforcement authorities, including detain for probable cause, those persons that may be involved in illegal acts and testimony in court and other administrative hearings.
Be aware of special promotions within the casino.
The Security Officer is uniformed and badged distinctively.
Provide friendly and courteous customer service.
Performs other duties and projects as required by management.

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical school or formal apprenticeship may be required.
Valid Driver’s License.
Current Oklahoma State Security License or able to acquire one within 30 days of hire date.
Prior experience in law enforcement, military or civilian security Services required.
Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
