Location:
This position is primarily for sites in Hickory. Preference will be given to those willing to work in the surrounding area, as well.
Hours:
The hours vary depending on how many shifts the guard takes. They are often in the evening or overnight and on Fridays and Saturdays (though not always).
Requirments:
Passing a background check and possessing a high school diploma (or equivalent) are conditions of employment as they are required for state registration as a security guard. A driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is also highly recommended for this postion.

Responsibilities:
– Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
– Protect property from theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities
– Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security threats
– Conduct security checks of doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are properly secured
– Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activity
– Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related incidents
– Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries or concerns
Experience:
– Previous experience in security or loss prevention is preferred but not required
– Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment is a plus
– Strong observation skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
– Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
