Physical/Technical Security Specialist

Looking to add to our ICR physical/technical team responsible for the daily execution of physical and technical security functions to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
Job Description:
Interpret and apply technical and administrative requirements to ensure evolving customer security requirements are met from concept design to completion in compliance with DoD and IC directives, orders, and policies for new builds and modifications to existing spaces.
Ensure potential customer sponsored facilities are selected and constructed to meet security requirements in accordance with Customer guidelines.
Attend facility design reviews & pre-construction meetings to advise on appropriate accreditation criteria. Monitor status of facility construction, equipment installation, accreditation documentation, scheduling, approvals & conflicts. Design, develop, review & edit facility accreditation requests.
Perform as Construction Security Manager (CSM); participate with the ICR facilities team for Pre-Construction Plans, prepare Construction Security Plans (CSP), Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC), TEMPEST checklists, and additional documentation as required. Review architectural drawings to ensure security compliance and ensure they accurately reflect the as-built facility parameters.
Ensure quality, completeness and compliance with ICD 705 and/or other applicable regulations.
Organize and coordinate review visits, testing and Physical Technical Certification Officer (PTCO) and Accrediting Official (AO) reviews.
Maintain compliance records and/or POA&M’s as required. Assist in the development and maintenance of proper documentation for personnel, and physical security procedures as required by DoD, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and sponsor directives and policies.
In conjunction with ICR Security, conduct periodic Physical Security inspections for the duration of projects or facilities to ensure compliance, construction design, and security standards are met.
Prepare and review self-assessment checklist, reoccurring PHYSEC surveys, inspections, storing and record keeping as required for secure space lifecycle. Participate in government compliance inspections and formulate Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) as required. Assist in the development and implementation of operations, security plans, procedures, and policies by rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from Accrediting Office (AO) and government agencies.
Apply knowledge of operations of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS). Proactively support security requirements in support of classified programs and the secure space lifecycle.
Create and maintain partnerships with ICR Customers, government agencies, internal / external organizations, contractors, employees, and managers involving facility and security operations.
Serve as a knowledge leader and general resource to employees. Assess, analyze, apply and implement security related policies, procedures, methods, operational requirements, practices, and deliverables in compliance with DoD, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), orders and requirements which can vary from program to program, to facilitate secure work spaces onsite.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or training in a security discipline(s) and related security experience.
Experience in administering and implementing security requirements in physical, technical, information, personnel, or cyber security; including analyzing and interpreting policies, or directives, writing and reviewing security plans, and identifying and conducting assessments, audits, and inspections.
Possess working knowledge of physical security governing guidelines such as ICD-705 and Tech Specs, NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 and 2001.53 (Open Storage Area), DODM 5205.07, Vol 3 SAP Physical Security, and TEMPEST best practices.
Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in construction planning and designing to include facility programming/planning, developing/reviewing construction drawings and specifications, coordinating/reviewing work of architectural and engineering professionals.
AutoCAD and Bluebeam Cloud software application proficiency. Experience updating and maintaining records in customer applications and databases.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills and experience delivering presentations and preparing written reports.
Experience managing multiple projects/tasks and large workloads. Strong administrative and organization skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills with ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities and work within timelines. Are willing and able to work in SCIFs/SAPFs daily and working on construction sites.
Salary Range: $95,000 – $135,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
