Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant unarmed security guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, students, and visitors. This role requires:
Strong observational skills
Effective communication abilities
The capacity to respond promptly and effectively in the event of an incident
A commitment to upholding security protocols.
Qualified candidates must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, both written & verbal communication and be a team player with the ability to learn quickly. This position is full-time and hourly compensated.
Security Guard Job Description
Screen visitors at the gatehouse using the Concierge iPad system, announce their arrival, and monitor and control access to the school building.
Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure school environment.
Meet, greet and interact with staff, students, visitors and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
Assist any persons in building or on grounds needing directions or campus information
Monitor, document and authorize access of campus employees, students, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft, trespassing and maintain overall security of premises.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or suspicious activity.
Notify supervisor of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches and/or safety hazards.
Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Security

Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Licenses/Certifications: Class D Security guard license from state
Must have minimum 3 years of security and/or law enforcement related profession, or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Must have a valid driver’s license
Be fluent in English and Spanish
Must provide background check

Shift available: Monday-Friday- 7:00AM-3:30PM
