Full Job Description
General purpose of position:
Perform daily security, safety and public service duties. Maintain a safe and secure work environment, while assisting in various aspects of the facilities department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and secure campus for corporate events; campus activities, and daily use
Control entry points and make roving patrols on campus
Monitor CCTV and fire/security system
Provide first aid as a first responder
Perform crowd control and traffic direction
Maintain detailed daily recorded of events and campus activities
Work schedule involves days, evening and weekends
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and handle potentially physically rigorous situations
The work environment us both indoors and outdoors, with majority of outdoors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be observant and detail oriented.
Have a helpful and professional personality.
Education and Experience:
Customer service experience preferred
High School Diploma required
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Required to stand, sit, walk, talk, see, and hear.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Must use hands and fingers to operate equipment/controls/computer.
Must have the ability to adjust focus for unplanned activities and other duties as assigned. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
Most of the work environment is indoors, but outdoor work required. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud.
