opportunity to work as a Security Officer on our University Hospitals Birmingham contract. We provide enhanced rates of pay for unsocial hours, ensuring you are well-compensated for your hard work and dedication.

Pay Rate: £12.08 per hour
Nights and Saturday: £17.03
Sundays and Bank Holidays: £22.11
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts:
Days, Nights, and Weekends
Enhanced Rates of Pay:
Weekdays (8pm – 6am) and Saturdays:
Time plus 41%
Sundays and Public Holidays:
** Time plus 83%
Your Time at Work
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for securing three NHS hospitals in Birmingham.
You will:
– Work as part of a team to manage security across different sites
– Utilise keen conflict management skills to de-escalate incidents
– Interact with staff and the public, ensuring adherence to security protocols
– Patrol premises, monitor car parks, and assist with emergency situations
– Conduct searches and monitor CCTV cameras
– Liaise with internal security teams and emergency services when necessary

Our Perfect Worker
– Must be over 18 years of age
– Valid Door Supervisor SIA License
– Minimum 1 year of experience in the security industry
– Own transport and a full clean UK driving license
– Basic IT skills and understanding of smart mobile use

Flexibility
to work varied shift patterns including days, nights, and weekends
– Experience working security in healthcare is desirable
– Knowledge of confidentiality and safeguarding is desirable
